William Barnett Allgood was born January 11, 1836 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He married Louisa Frances Rogers on November 8, 1865 and they had at least twelve children.
William Barnett Allgood was a farmer. He enlisted in the Confederate Army, Third State Troops in 1861. He was assigned to Captain Dotterers Ordnance Guards, Jenkins Regiment of First Palmetto Sharpshooters, A-Bo in 1962. He was a private. Later he was promoted to Sergeant. He died December 25, 1922 in Pickens County, South Carolina and was buried in the Secona Baptist Church Cemetery there. His was a widower.
